Women's Rights Day, Kurdistan

In keeping with this city's liberal tradition, a group of about 50 women (and about 20 men supporters at the back) held a march down Mawlawy Street through the heart of the bazaar district.

The atmosphere was calm and friendly with no antagonism from the main male onlookers.
