The bazaar is one of the great highlights of Qazvin and dates back 400 years. Constructed of brick it feeds every imaging of what a bazaar should be. Narrow alleys with pointed arches and huge ancient domes where the alleys intersect.
This is no tarted up tourist trap as there are very very few foreign tourists in Iran and it caters almost exclusively for the locals. Part of it has been restored as is clear in the first two photos, but it is the original sections that are most fascinating and a good deal less tidy.
